Industrial
Biodegradable packaging at industrial scale
Industrial buyers need repeatable material supply, QA, tooling logic, conversion capacity and clean procurement documents. Circulera treats PHA as a manufacturing platform, not as a boutique packaging story.
Buyer segments
- Food manufacturers: trays, lidding, cups, bowls, wrappers and labels.
- Beverage and cold chain: cups, lids, bottles, straws and films.
- Retail and private label: bags, labels, containers and seasonal SKUs.
- Converters: PHA resin, compounds, coating route and joint product development.
- Medical formats: selected P4HB-derived directions where the technical route is separate from food packaging.
Technical scope
- PHA resin: pellets for converters, compounding and pilot production.
- PHA/PBAT compound: flexible bags, films, labels and liners.
- PHA coating: barrier route for paper and fibre.
- Finished SUP: cups, bottles, trays, deli containers and custom packaging.
Customisation
- Geometry: size, wall thickness, compartments, hinges, handles and windows.
- Branding: direct print, label route, embossing and language variants.
- Colour: transparent, frosted, matte, black, white or brand colour where food-contact allows.
- Performance: stiffness, seal, grease resistance, clarity, flexibility and route-specific degradation.
Production logic
Industrial supply is staged. Early lots validate formulation and tooling. Repeat production needs incoming QA, batch records, food-contact documentation, warehouse planning and buyer offtake before capacity is locked.
Certification and claim boundary
Circulera separates material facts from marketing claims. Certifications, food-contact status, compostability or biodegradation statements are attached to the product, formulation, test method and country route.
Order process
- Buyer sends SKU, drawing, annual volume and target market.
- Circulera checks material route, tooling and certification gap.
- Sample lot validates dimensions, strength, print and route.
- Commercial terms move into MOQ, lead time, price tiers and offtake.
- Production scales only after the category and claim are technically defensible.
